The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This plague is a punishment, or a remnant of a punishment, that was inflicted upon a people before you. So if it breaks out in a land while you are in it, do not flee from it, and if you hear of it in a land, do not enter it."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عن إبراهيم بن سعد
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن هذا الطاعون رجز أو بقية من عذاب عذب به قوم قبلكم فإذا وقع بأرض وأنتم بها فلا تخرجوا منها فرارا منه وإذا سمعتم به في أرض فلا تدخلوا عليه
