Abdul-Rahman reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believer is like a fresh stalk of grain that the winds bend, straightening it at one moment and knocking it down at another, until its appointed time comes. The disbeliever is like a firm cedar tree, standing upright on its root, unmoved by anything, until it is uprooted all at once."Abdul-Rahman was uncertain whether the wording was "until it is torn out" or "until it is uprooted all at once."

حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن سفيان عن سعد عن عبد الله أو عبد الرحمن بن كعب بن مالك قال

عبد الرحمن هو شك يعني سفيان عن أبيه قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ مثل المؤمن كمثل الخامة من الزرع تقيمها الرياح تعدلها مرة وتصرعها أخرى حتى يأتيه أجله ومثل الكافر مثل الأرزة المجذية على أصلها لا يقلها شيء حتى يكون انجعافها يختلعها أو انجعافها مرة واحدة شك عبد الرحمن
