Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are leading authorities, and the second Yahya bin Saeed is al-Ansari. This does not mean that Saeed bin Musayab, the devout imam, contradicted the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Rather, what was established for him was that hoarding is forbidden only in the case of essential staple foods such as wheat and rice, and this is the view adopted by some of the Hanafis, some of the Shafiis, and many jurists.
