While we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I was riding behind him, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, "Suhayl bin Bayda!" raising his voice two or three times, and each time Suhayl answered him.The people heard the voice of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and thought he wanted them, so those who were ahead of him stopped, and those who were behind him caught up, until they had all gathered together.Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah, Allah will forbid the Fire from touching him and will grant him Paradise."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال أخبرنا بكر بن مضر عن ابن الهاد عن محمد بن إبراهيم عن سعيد بن الصلت
بينما نحن في سفر مع رسول الله ﷺ وأنا رديفه فقال رسول الله ﷺ يا سهيل ابن البيضاء ورفع صوته مرتين أو ثلاثا كل ذلك يجيبه سهيل فسمع الناس صوت رسول الله ﷺ فظنوا أنه يريدهم فحبس من كان بين يديه ولحقه من كان خلفه حتى إذا اجتمعوا قال رسول الله ﷺ إنه من شهد أن لا إله إلا الله حرمه الله على النار وأوجب له الجنة
