A man returned from a journey at night and hurried to his wife. When he entered his house, he saw a lamp burning and noticed something next to his wife, so he drew his sword. His wife cried out, "Stay back, stay back from me. So-and-so is combing my hair."He then went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him what had happened, and the Prophet forbade a man from coming to his family unannounced at night.
حدثنا عبد الرحمن حدثنا سفيان عن حميد الأعرج عن محمد بن إبراهيم عن أبي سلمة
أنه قدم من سفر ليلا فتعجل إلى امرأته فإذا في بيته مصباح وإذا مع امرأته شيء فأخذ السيف فقالت امرأته إليك إليك عني فلانة تمشطني فأتى النبي ﷺ فأخبره فنهى أن يطرق الرجل أهله ليلا
Its isnad is daif, because of Humayd Aaraj, whom they graded weak, but the hadith is sahih and has already appeared at 14758. As for Muhammad bin Ibrahim, he is Ibn Harith Taymi, the well-known one, mentioned previously.
