The Prophet ﷺ said, "After me there will be rulers who pray the prayer at its proper time, and others who delay it past its proper time. Pray it with them. If they pray it at its proper time and you pray it with them, the reward is for you and for them. If they delay it past its proper time and you pray it with them, the reward is for you and the sin is upon them. Whoever separates from the congregation dies the death of the days of ignorance, and whoever breaks the covenant and dies having broken it will come on the Day of Resurrection with no argument to defend himself."I asked him, "Who informed you of this report?"He replied, "Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabia informed me of it from his father Amir bin Rabia, who reported it from the Prophet ﷺ."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا ابن جريج قال أخبرني
أن النبي ﷺ قال إنها ستكون من بعدي أمراء يصلون الصلاة لوقتها ويؤخرونها عن وقتها فصلوها معهم فإن صلوها لوقتها وصليتموها معهم فلكم ولهم وإن أخروها عن وقتها فصليتموها معهم فلكم وعليهم من فارق الجماعة مات ميتة جاهلية ومن نكث العهد ومات ناكثا للعهد جاء يوم القيامة لا حجة له قلت له من أخبرك هذا الخبر قال أخبرنيه عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعة عن أبيه عامر بن ربيعة يخبر عامر بن ربيعة عن النبي ﷺ
