The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a grave and asked, "Whose grave is this?"They replied, "It is the grave of so-and-so."He said, "Why did you not inform me?"They answered, "You were sleeping, and we did not want to wake you."He said, "Do not do that. Call me for your funerals." Then he formed a row over the grave and prayed for her.

مر رسول الله ﷺ بقبر فقال ما هذا القبر قالوا قبر فلانة قال أفلا آذنتموني قالوا كنت نائما فكرهنا أن نوقظك قال فلا تفعلوا فادعوني لجنائزكم فصف عليها فصلى
Its isnad is sahih. Qutayba bin Saeed Thaqafi Baghlani, so named after his hometown, is trustworthy and firmly reliable, as previously noted. Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad Darawardi, of Madinah and from Juhaynah, was deemed trustworthy by the scholars, and his hadith appears in the collections of all the major compilers. Muhammad bin Zayd Taymi is Ibn Muhajir of Madinah, trustworthy and praised by the scholars. Abdullah bin Amir is among the trustworthy successors, as previously mentioned.The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 3/211, no. 3203, in the book of funerals, chapter on praying over the grave, and by Tirmidhi, 3/346, no. 1037, with similar wording, who said, hasan sahih, and by Ibn Majah, 1/489, no. 1529.
