The Prophet ﷺ said, "Recite the Quran, but do not go to extremes regarding it, do not turn away from it, do not eat by means of it, and do not seek to gain abundance through it."
حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثنا همام حدثنا يحيى عن زيد بن سلام عن جده عن أبي راشد الحبراني
أن النبي ﷺ قال اقرءوا القرآن ولا تغلوا فيه ولا تجفوا عنه ولا تأكلوا به ولا تستكثروا به
Its isnad is sahih. All its narrators are trustworthy and have already been mentioned. Abdul-Samad is Ibn Abdul-Warith, Hammam is Ibn Yahya bin Dinar, Yahya is Ibn Abu Kathir, and Zayd bin Salam is Ibn Abu Salam, whose grandfather is Abu Salam Mamtur al-Habashi. Abu Rashid al-Hibrani is the trustworthy Syrian narrator. The hadith has already appeared at 15472.
