He used to come to our place of prayer. Someone said to him, "Step forward and lead the prayer."He replied, "Let one of you lead the prayer, and I will tell you why I did not lead you in prayer."When the people had finished praying, he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When one of you visits a people, he should not lead them in prayer. Rather, a man from among them should lead them.'"
حدثنا يونس بن محمد حدثنا أبان بن يزيد العطار عن بديل بن ميسرة العقيلي قال حدثني أبو عطية مولى منا
كان يأتينا في مصلانا فقيل له تقدم فصل فقال ليصل بعضكم حتى أحدثكم لم لم أصل بكم فلما صلى القوم قال قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا زار أحدكم قوما فلا يصل بهم ليصل بهم رجل منهم
