Aswad bin Sari reported,

I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have composed words of praise for my Lord and praise for you as well."He said, "Recite what you have used to praise your Lord ."So I began to recite to him, when a dark-complexioned man came and asked permission to enter. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Pause for a moment."The man spoke for a while, then left, and I resumed my recitation. Then he came back and asked permission to enter again, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Pause for a moment." This happened two or three times.I said, "Messenger of Allah, who is this man for whom you kept silencing me?"He said, "This is Umar bin Khattab, a man who does not love falsehood."

عن الأسود بن سريع قال

أتيت النبي ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله إني قد حمدت ربي تبارك وتعالى بمحامد ومدح وإياك قال هات ما حمدت به ربك عز وجل قال فجعلت أنشده فجاء رجل أدلم فاستأذن قال فقال النبي ﷺ بين بين قال فتكلم ساعة ثم خرج قال فجعلت أنشده قال ثم جاء فاستأذن قال فقال النبي ﷺ بين بين ففعل ذاك مرتين أو ثلاثا قال قلت يا رسول الله من هذا الذي استنصتني له قال عمر بن الخطاب هذا رجل لا يحب الباطل
