Its isnad is sahih. Bishr bin Mufaddal and Salama bin Dinar, Abu Hazim, are among the reliable and firmly established narrators. One might suspect a break in this chain, but that is not the case, for Bishr bin Mufaddal died in the year 186 AH at the earliest, and Salama bin Dinar died in the year 141 AH or 140 AH at the earliest. Bishr has many narrations from Abu Hazim that we have already come across in the Musnad of Abu Hurairah.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 2/588, number 859, in the Book of Friday, on the Friday prayer, and by Abu Dawud, 1/285, number 1086, in the Book of Prayer, on the time of Friday prayer, and by Tirmidhi, 2/403, number 525, in the Book of Friday, on the midday nap on Friday, who said, hasan sahih, and by Ibn Majah, 1/350, number 1099, in the Book of the Establishment of Prayer, on what has been said about the time of Friday prayer.
