I asked Abdul-Rahman bin Kaysan, the freed slave of Khalid bin Usayd, "Will you not narrate to me from your father?"He replied, "You have not asked me before."Then he said, "My father told me that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ come out from the kitchens until he reached the well, wearing only a lower garment with no upper garment. He saw some servants praying near the well, so he untied his lower garment and wrapped it across his shoulders, then prayed two rakahs. I do not know whether it was the Zuhr or the Asr prayer."

Its chain of transmission is hasan. Amr bin Kathir was accepted by scholars despite some criticism directed at him, and Abdul-Rahman bin Kaysan is mastur, with no mention of any defect in him. The hadith has many other numerous narrations, see 15076.
