The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted us to engage in temporary marriage. So I set out with a man, one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ who was older than me, and we met a young woman from the tribe of Bani Amir who looked like a tall, long-necked young she-camel. We presented ourselves to her, and she asked, "What will the two of you offer?"Each of us replied, "My cloak."My companion's cloak was finer than mine, but I was younger than him. She kept looking at my companion's cloak, then said, "You and your cloak are enough for me."So I stayed with her for three nights. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has with him any of the women he has taken in temporary marriage, let him release her."So I parted from her.
حدثنا يونس حدثنا ليث يعني ابن سعد قال حدثني الربيع بن سبرة
أذن لنا رسول الله ﷺ في المتعة قال فانطلقت أنا ورجل هو أكبر مني سنا من أصحاب النبي ﷺ فلقينا فتاة من بني عامر كأنها بكرة عيطاء فعرضنا عليها أنفسنا فقالت ما تبذلان قال كل واحد منا ردائي قال وكان رداء صاحبي أجود من ردائي وكنت أشب منه قالت فجعلت تنظر إلى رداء صاحبي ثم قالت أنت ورداؤك تكفيني قال فأقمت معها ثلاثا قال ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ من كان عنده من النساء التي تمتع بهن شيء فليخل سبيلها قال ففارقتها
