The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best charity is that given out of surplus wealth. The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin with those you are responsible for."
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد عن عمرو بن عثمان عن موسى بن طلحة
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن خير الصدقة عن ظهر غنى واليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى وابدأ بمن تعول
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Ubayd is Tanafisi, Amr bin Uthman is Qurashi Taymi, their client, and Musa bin Talha is Taymi, one of them by lineage. All of them are trustworthy and excellent narrators, and the hadith has previously appeared at 10762, and it is found in the Sahihs.
