The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The buyer and seller have the option to confirm or cancel the sale as long as they have not parted. If they are truthful and disclose any defects, their transaction will be blessed, but if they lie and conceal defects, the blessing of their transaction will be wiped out."
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا سعيد يعني ابن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن أبي الخليل عن عبد الله بن الحارث الهاشمي
قال رسول الله ﷺ البيعان بالخيار ما لم يتفرقا فإن صدقا وبينا رزقا بركة بيعهما وإن كذبا وكتما محق بركة بيعهما
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Khalil is Salih bin Abu Maryam, who is trustworthy, and he was named Salih in . Abdullah bin Harith bin Nawfal bin Harith bin Abdul-Muttalib Al-Hashimi is trustworthy and there is scholarly consensus on him. The hadith was reported by Bukhari 3/76, Shab edition, in the Book of Trade, chapter "If the two parties to a sale explain," by Muslim 3/1164, number 1532, in the Book of Trade, chapter "Honesty in Trade," by Abu Dawud 3/273, number 3457, by Tirmidhi 3/538, number 1245, who said it is hasan sahih, by Nasai 7/247, number 4464, and by Ibn Majah 2/736, number 2182.
