I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he tore his shirt open from the collar and pulled it down off over his legs. The people looked at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "I gave instructions that the sacrificial camels I sent should be garlanded today and have their humps marked today at such-and-such a watering place. Then I put on a shirt and forgot, so I could not pull my shirt off over my head."He had sent his sacrificial animals from Medina while he himself remained in Medina.
حدثنا علي بن بحر حدثنا حاتم بن إسماعيل قراءة علينا من كتابه عن عبد الرحمن بن عطاء عن عبد الملك بن جابر
كنت عند رسول الله ﷺ جالسا فقد قميصه من جيبه حتى أخرجه من رجليه فنظر القوم إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال إني أمرت ببدني التي بعثت بها أن تقلد اليوم وتشعر اليوم على ماء كذا وكذا فلبست قميصا ونسيت فلم أكن أخرج قميصي من رأسي وكان قد بعث ببدنه من المدينة وأقام بالمدينة
