He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding kharṣ-based sales and saying, "Tell me, if the dates were to perish, would any of you be willing to consume his brother's wealth unjustly?"

أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ ينهى عن الخرص وقال أرأيتم إن هلك التمر أيحب أحدكم أن يأكل مال أخيه بالباطل
