My father was killed on the day of Uhud, leaving behind two orchards and a debt of dates owed to a Jew, and the Jew's claim would have consumed everything in both orchards.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Would you take part this year and defer the rest until next year?"But he refused.So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the time of harvest comes, let me know."I informed him, and the Prophet ﷺ came along with Abu Bakr and Umar. We began harvesting while the dates were measured out for him at the base of the palm trees, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept invoking blessings, until we paid him his full due from the smaller of the two orchards, according to what Ammar reckons.Then we brought them fresh dates and water, and they ate and drank.He then said, "This is among the blessings you will be questioned about."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد عن عمار بن أبي عمار
قتل أبي يوم أحد وترك حديقتين وليهودي عليه تمر وتمر اليهودي يستوعب ما في الحديقتين فقال له رسول الله ﷺ هل لك أن تأخذ العام بعضا وتؤخر بعضا إلى قابل فأبى فقال رسول الله ﷺ إذا حضر الجداد فآذني قال فآذنته فجاء النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر وعمر فجعلنا نجد ويكال له من أسفل النخل ورسول الله ﷺ يدعو بالبركة حتى أوفيناه جميع حقه من أصغر الحديقتين فيما يحسب عمار ثم أتيناهم برطب وماء فأكلوا وشربوا ثم قال هذا من النعيم الذي تسألون عنه
