The Prophet ﷺ, on the day of the Conquest while he was at Batha, ordered Umar bin Khattab to go to the Kaabah and erase every image in it. He did not enter the House until every image inside had been erased.
حدثنا روح حدثنا ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير أنه سمع
إن النبي ﷺ أمر عمر بن الخطاب يوم الفتح وهو بالبطحاء أن يأتي الكعبة فيمحو كل صورة فيها ولم يدخل البيت حتى محيت كل صورة فيه
