While we were praying the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a caravan arrived carrying provisions. The people turned toward it until no one remained with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except twelve men. Then this verse was revealed, "And when they see a transaction or a diversion, they rush off to it and leave you standing" [Jumuah 62:11].

بينما نحن نصلي الجمعة مع رسول الله ﷺ إذ أقبلت عير تحمل طعاما قال فالتفتوا إليها حتى ما بقي مع رسول الله ﷺ إلا اثنا عشر رجلا فنزلت هذه الآية {وإذا رأوا تجارة أو لهوا انفضوا إليها وتركوك قائما}
