An Arabi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Pledge me to Islam." So he took his pledge upon Islam.The next day he returned, suffering from a fever, and said, "Messenger of Allah, release me from my pledge." But he refused.The following day he came again, still feverish, and said, "Release me." Again he refused.When the man turned away, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Madinah is like a bellows. It expels its impurities and purifies what is good."
حدثنا أبو نعيم حدثنا سفيان عن محمد بن المنكدر قال سمعت
جاء أعرابي إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال بايعني على الإسلام فبايعه على الإسلام ثم جاء من الغد محموما فقال يا رسول الله أقلني فأبى ثم جاء من الغد محموما فقال أقلني فأبى فلما ولى قال المدينة كالكير تنفي خبثها وتنصع طيبها
