A man slaughtered a young goat before the Prophet ﷺ had performed the prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It will not suffice for anyone after you," and he forbade them from slaughtering until they had prayed.

أن رجلا ذبح قبل أن يصلي النبي ﷺ عتودا جذعا فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا تجزئ عن أحد بعدك ونهى أن يذبحوا حتى يصلوا
