We enjoyed two forms of tamattu during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the tamattu of Hajj and the tamattu of women. Hammad also said, "The tamattu of Hajj and the tamattu of women." Then when Umar came, he forbade us from both, so we abstained.
