The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out on the day of Eid and take his family with him.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا عبد الواحد حدثنا حجاج عن عطاء
كان رسول الله ﷺ يخرج في العيد ويخرج أهله

Its isnad is hasan, because of Hajjaj bin Artah. Ibn Majah related the hadith, 1/415, no. 1309, through this Hajjaj, from Abdul-Rahman bin Aabis, from Ibn Abbas. Busiri weakened it in al-Zawaid because of the tadlis of Hajjaj, but I graded it hasan only because of the hadith in the Sahihayn, "We were commanded to bring out the young unmarried girls and those who kept to their private quarters," meaning on the day of Eid. Bukhari related it, 2/463, no. 974 (Fath), and Muslim, 2/605, no. 890.
