The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruit until it begins to ripen.I asked Saeed, "What does 'begins to ripen' mean?"He replied, "It means when it turns red or yellow and becomes fit to eat."

نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن بيع الثمرة حتى تشقح قال قلت لسعيد ما تشقح قال تحمار وتصفار ويؤكل منها
Its isnad is sahih. Bahz is Ibn Asad Ammi, and he is trustworthy and firmly reliable. Saeed bin Mina is also trustworthy. Salim bin Hayan was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Hibban in Thiqat 6/435, and he was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Abu Hatim, citing Ibn Ahmad and his father, in Jarh 4/314. Bukhari made no comment on him in Tarikh al-Kabir 2/2/213. The hadith has already appeared at 14403.
