He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that whoever grants another man a lifetime gift for him and his descendants, it belongs to the one to whom it was granted. It is severed from the one who granted it, since it falls under the inheritance laws and rights ordained by Allah.

أخبره أن رسول الله ﷺ قضى أنه من أعمر رجلا عمرى له ولعقبه فإنها للذي يعمرها قد بتها من صاحبها الذي أعمرها ما وقع من مواريث الله وحقه
Its isnad is sahih. The nephew of Ibn Shihab is Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Muslim, and he is trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared at 14277.
