Umar bin Ali bin Husayn reported,

It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Limit going out after nightfall, for Allah has creatures whom He sends forth at that time. When you hear the barking of a dog or the braying of a donkey, seek refuge with Allah from Satan."Layth said, Yazid said, "Shurahbil also narrated this hadith to me from Jabir bin Abdullah, who said that he heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

حدثنا يونس حدثنا ليث عن يزيد يعني ابن الهاد

عن عمر بن علي بن الحسين أنه قال

بلغني أن رسول الله ﷺ قال أقلوا الخروج بعد هدأة فإن لله عز وجل خلقا يبثهم فإذا سمعتم نباح الكلب أو نهاق الحمر فاستعيذوا بالله من الشيطان و قال حدثنا ليث قال قال يزيد وحدثني هذا الحديث شرحبيل عن جابر بن عبد الله قال إنه سمعه من رسول الله ﷺ
