I asked Jabir about the slaughter, and Jabir said, "The Prophet ﷺ led us in prayer on the Day of Sacrifice in Madinah. Some men went forward and slaughtered their animals, assuming that the Prophet ﷺ had already done so. The Prophet ﷺ then ordered anyone who had slaughtered to repeat the slaughter with another animal, and that no one should slaughter until he had slaughtered."

سألت جابرا عن النحر فقال جابر صلى بنا النبي ﷺ يوم النحر بالمدينة فتقدم رجال فنحروا وظنوا أن النبي ﷺ قد نحر فأمر النبي ﷺ من كان نحر أن يعيد نحرا آخر ولا ينحروا حتى ينحر
