He informed him that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "The people of Mecca will leave it, then they will not inhabit it," or "it will only be inhabited slightly. Then it will be inhabited and filled and built up. Then they will leave it and never return to it again."
حدثنا موسى حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن أبي الزبير عن جابر أنه أخبره أن
أخبره أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول سيخرج أهل مكة منها ثم لا يعمروها أو لا تعمر إلا قليلا ثم تعمر وتمتلئ وتبنى ثم يخرجون منها فلا يعودون إليها أبدا
