The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other, except the Sacred Mosque, and a prayer in the Sacred Mosque is better than a hundred thousand prayers."Husayn added, "in any other."
حدثنا حسين يعني ابن محمد وعبد الجبار بن محمد الخطابي قالا حدثنا عبيد الله يعني ابن عمرو الرقي عن عبد الكريم عن عطاء
قال رسول الله ﷺ صلاة في مسجدي هذا أفضل من ألف صلاة فيما سواه إلا المسجد الحرام وصلاة في المسجد الحرام أفضل من مائة ألف صلاة قال حسين فيما سواه
Its isnad is sahih. Husayn bin Muhammad is Ibn Bahram, who is trustworthy. In the printed edition, it appears as "Hasan," and perhaps that is how it stood in the original manuscript from which it was printed, but it was previously corrected under his father's entry, and that is indeed correct. Abdul-Jabbar bin Muhammad Khattabi Adawi was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Hibban, while Abu Hatim and Bukhari made no comment about him. Abdullah bin Amr Raqqi, Abu Wahb, is trustworthy, and Abdul-Kareem bin Malik Jazari is likewise trustworthy. The hadith previously appeared at 10473.
