The Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw the pebbles at the Jamrah while mounted on his camel, using small stones the size of those flicked between the fingers, and he was saying, "Learn your rites of pilgrimage from me, for I do not know, perhaps I will not perform Hajj after this Hajj of mine."
