The open spaces around the masjid had become vacant, so Banu Salama wished to relocate closer to the masjid. News of this reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said to them, "I have heard that you intend to move closer to the masjid."They replied, "Yes, Messenger of Allah, that is what we wanted."He said, "Banu Salama, stay in your homes, your footsteps are recorded. Stay in your homes, your footsteps are recorded."

دخلت البقاع حول المسجد فأراد بنو سلمة أن ينتقلوا قرب المسجد فبلغ ذلك رسول الله ﷺ فقال لهم إنه بلغني أنكم تريدون أن تنتقلوا قرب المسجد قالوا نعم يا رسول الله قد أردنا ذلك قال فقال يا بني سلمة دياركم تكتب آثاركم دياركم تكتب آثاركم
