Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

On the day of Khaybar, the people were struck by famine, so they took the domestic donkeys, slaughtered them, and filled their pots with the meat. When word of this reached the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, Jabir said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to overturn the pots, and he said, "Allah will bring you sustenance that is more lawful for you than this and more wholesome than this."Jabir said, so we overturned the pots that day while they were still boiling. On that day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade domestic donkeys, the flesh of mules, every fanged beast of prey, and every bird with talons. He also forbade animals tied up and shot at as targets, animals taken by snatching, and animals seized by plunder.

عن جابر بن عبد الله قال

لما كان يوم خيبر أصاب الناس مجاعة فأخذوا الحمر الإنسية فذبحوها وملئوا منها القدور فبلغ ذلك نبي الله ﷺ قال جابر فأمرنا رسول الله ﷺ فكفأنا القدور فقال إن الله عز وجل سيأتيكم برزق هو أحل لكم من ذا وأطيب من ذا قال فكفأنا يومئذ القدور وهي تغلي فحرم رسول الله ﷺ يومئذ الحمر الإنسية ولحوم البغال وكل ذي ناب من السباع وكل ذي مخلب من الطيور وحرم المجثمة والخلسة والنهبة
