The Prophet ﷺ said, "The lifetime gift becomes inheritance for its recipients, or a permanent grant to its recipients."
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن النضر بن أنس عن بشير بن نهيك
عن النبي ﷺ قال العمرى ميراث لأهلها أو جائزة لأهلها
Its isnad is sahih. Bashir bin Nuhayk, Abu Shatha, Sadusi, is trustworthy, as mentioned before, and likewise Nadr bin Anas. The hadith was mentioned before at 10294, from Abu Hurairah. I do not know why the hadith of Abu Hurairah was inserted here, but perhaps it is because it agrees with what was narrated from Jabir, as in the one following it.
