The Prophet ﷺ and his companions did not perform the circuit between Safa and Marwa more than once, that being his first circuit.
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير قال سمعت
لم يطف النبي ﷺ وأصحابه بين الصفا والمروة إلا طوافا واحدا طوافه الأول
Its isnad is sahih, and it is found in Nasai, 5/244, no. 2986, in the book of rites of pilgrimage, chapter on how many circumambulations are required from one performing qiran.
