He narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The disease of the nations before you has crept upon you, envy and hatred. Hatred is the shaver. I do not mean that it shaves hair, but that it shaves away religion. By the One in whose hand my soul is," or "By the One in whose hand the soul of Muhammad is, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something that, if you do it, will establish that love among you? Spread the greeting of peace among yourselves."

حدثه أن رسول الله ﷺ قال دب إليكم داء الأمم قبلكم الحسد والبغضاء والبغضاء هي الحالقة لا أقول تحلق الشعر ولكن تحلق الدين والذي نفسي بيده أو والذي نفس محمد بيده لا تدخلوا الجنة حتى تؤمنوا ولا تؤمنوا حتى تحابوا أفلا أنبئكم بما يثبت ذلك لكم أفشوا السلام بينكم
Its isnad is daif due to a break in it, because of the unknown identity of the freedman of the family of Zubayr, and it is a repetition of 1412. Abdul-Rahman is Ibn Mahdi. Harb bin Shaddad al-Yashkuri is trustworthy. Ahmad said, "He is firm regarding all the sheikhs."
