The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you travel through fertile land, allow the mounts to graze and do not push past good resting places. When you travel through barren land, hasten your pace and travel by night, for the earth is folded up at night. If the Ghaylan try to lead you astray, call out the adhan. Beware of praying on the main road or stopping there to rest, for it is the haunt of snakes and wild beasts, and beware of relieving yourselves on it, for it is among the things that bring curses."
حدثنا محمد بن سلمة عن هشام عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا سرتم في الخصب فأمكنوا الركاب أسنانها ولا تجاوزوا المنازل وإذا سرتم في الجدب فاستجدوا وعليكم بالدلج فإن الأرض تطوى بالليل وإذا تغولت لكم الغيلان فنادوا بالأذان وإياكم والصلاة على جواد الطريق والنزول عليها فإنها مأوى الحيات والسباع وقضاء الحاجة فإنها الملاعن
