The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hold on to your property and do not give it as a lifetime grant. Whoever grants something as a lifetime gift, it follows the path of inheritance."

Its isnad is sahih, and the hadith of the umra (life-tenancy grant) has already come before, and this wording is found in Nasai 6/274, no. 3736, in the chapter on the umra, mentioning the disagreement among transmitters regarding the report of Jabir.
