I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning a debt my father owed, and I came to him as though I were a spark.Abdullah said, Yahya bin Maeen told me, Abdul-Razzaq said to me, "Write from me, even a single hadith, without a book." I said, "No, not even a letter."He said, I heard Sufyan bin Waki say, I heard my father, and he mentioned Abdul-Razzaq and said, "He resembles the men of the people of Iraq."Abdullah narrated to us, saying, I heard my father say, "There was no well in the village of Abdul-Razzaq, so we used to set out early at dawn, traveling two miles to perform ablution, and we would carry water back with us."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن الأسود بن قيس عن نبيح
انطلقت إلى رسول الله ﷺ في دين كان على أبي فأتيته كأني شرارة قال عبد الله قال يحيى بن معين قال لي عبد الرزاق اكتب عني ولو حديثا واحدا من غير كتاب فقلت لا ولا حرفا قال سمعت سفيان بن وكيع قال سمعت أبي وذكر عبد الرزاق فقال يشبه رجال أهل العراق حدثنا عبد الله قال وسمعت أبي يقول وما كان في قرية عبد الرزاق بئر فكنا نذهب نبكر على ميلين نتوضأ ونحمل معنا الماء
