The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver his sermons leaning against a tree trunk. When a pulpit was made for him, the trunk moaned like a she-camel longing for her calf. So he came to it and placed his hand upon it, and it grew still.

Its isnad is sahih. Israil is the son of Yunus bin Abu Ishaq Subayi, and he narrates here from his grandfather. Saeed bin Abu Karib, or Kurayb, was deemed trustworthy by Abu Zura and Ibn Hibban. The hadith about the yearning of the trunk was mentioned earlier at 13296.
