Anas bin Malik reported,

A son of Abu Talha died, so Umm Sulaym said, "Do not inform Abu Talha until I am the one who tells him." She covered the child with a cloth, and when Abu Talha came home, she placed food before him and he ate. Then she adorned herself with perfume for him, and he was intimate with her, and she conceived a boy.Then she said, "Abu Talha, suppose a certain family borrowed something from another family, and the lenders sent asking for their loan back, but the borrowers refused to return it. Would they have any right to do so?"Abu Talha replied, "They have no such right. A loan must be returned to its owner."She said, "Then your son was a loan from Allah , and Allah has taken him back."So he said, "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun."Anas said, The Prophet ﷺ was informed of this, and he said, "May Allah bless the two of them in their night together."She conceived a boy and gave birth, and Umm Sulaym sent the child with me to the Prophet ﷺ, and she sent some dates along with him. I brought the child to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who was wearing a cloak and tarring a camel of his.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Do you have any dates with you?"I said, "Yes."He took the dates and placed them in his mouth, chewed them, then gathered his saliva, opened the infant's mouth, and dropped the mixture into it. The baby began to smack his lips, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Ansar's love is dates."He rubbed the date paste on the baby's palate and named him Abdullah. Among the Ansar there was no young man more excellent than he.

عن أنس

أن أبا طلحة مات له ابن فقالت أم سليم لا تخبروا أبا طلحة حتى أكون أنا الذي أخبره فسجت عليه فلما جاء أبو طلحة وضعت بين يديه طعاما فأكل ثم تطيبت له فأصاب منها فعلقت بغلام فقالت يا أبا طلحة إن آل فلان استعاروا من آل فلان عارية فبعثوا إليهم ابعثوا إلينا بعاريتنا فأبوا أن يردوها فقال أبو طلحة ليس لهم ذلك إن العارية مؤداة إلى أهلها قالت فإن ابنك كان عارية من الله عز وجل وإن الله عز وجل قد قبضه فاسترجع قال أنس فأخبر النبي ﷺ بذلك فقال بارك الله لهما في ليلتهما قال فعلقت بغلام فولدت فأرسلت به معي أم سليم إلى النبي ﷺ وحملت تمرا فأتيت به رسول الله ﷺ وعليه عباءة وهو يهنأ بعيرا له فقال رسول الله ﷺ هل معك تمر قال قلت نعم فأخذ التمرات فألقاهن في فيه فلاكهن ثم جمع لعابه ثم فغر فاه فأوجره إياه فجعل الصبي يتلمظ فقال رسول الله ﷺ حب الأنصار التمر فحنكه وسماه عبد الله فما كان في الأنصار شاب أفضل منه
