Anas bin Malik reported,

Umm Sulaym was with Abu Talha on the day of Hunayn, and she had a dagger with her.Abu Talha said, "Umm Sulaym, what is this you have with you?"Umm Sulaym replied, "I took it so that if any of the disbelievers comes near me, I can stab him in the belly with it."Abu Talha said, "Prophet of Allah, do you not hear what Umm Sulaym is saying? She is saying such and such."She said, "Messenger of Allah, shall I kill those who are with us from the Talqa? They fled and abandoned you, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Umm Sulaym, Allah has sufficed us and dealt kindly."

أن أم سليم كانت مع أبي طلحة يوم حنين فإذا مع أم سليم خنجر فقال أبو طلحة ما هذا معك يا أم سليم فقالت أم سليم اتخذته إن دنا مني أحد من الكفار أبعج به بطنه فقال أبو طلحة يا نبي الله ألا تسمع ما تقول أم سليم تقول كذا وكذا فقالت يا رسول الله أقتل من بعدنا من الطلقاء انهزموا بك يا رسول الله فقال يا أم سليم إن الله عز وجل قد كفانا وأحسن
