Whenever the Prophet ﷺ saw the new crescent moon, he would say, "Allah, let it rise upon us with blessing and faith, with safety and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah."

أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا رأى الهلال قال اللهم أهله علينا باليمن والإيمان والسلامة والإسلام ربي وربك الله
Its isnad is hasan. Abu Amir is Aqdi, Abdul-Malik bin Amr. Sulayman bin Sufyan Madani, freedman of the family of Talha, was declared daif by Ibn Main, Abu Hatim, Nasai, and others, and in Tahzib, quoting Tirmidhi in Ilal Mufradah quoting Bukhari, he said, his hadith is munkar. It also mentions that Ibn Hibban listed him among the trustworthy narrators and said, he used to make mistakes, and this is the most balanced thing said about him.Bilal bin Yahya bin Talha bin Ubaydullah Taymi was mentioned by Ibn Hibban among the trustworthy narrators.This hadith was narrated by Tirmidhi, 4:245, from Muhammad bin Bashshar, from Aqdi, and he said, this hadith is hasan gharib. His commentator mentioned that it was also narrated by Darimi, Hakim, and Ibn Hibban. Bukhari narrated it in Kabir, 2/1/109, in the biography of Bilal, from Ishaq and Abdullah bin Muhammad, from Abu Amir Aqdi, and he did not mention any defect in it. For that reason we have preferred to grade it hasan, since Bukhari did not mention Sulayman bin Sufyan among the daif narrators.
