The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to treat us with great affection, so much so that he once said to a younger brother of mine, "Abu Umayr, what happened to the little nughayr?"
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا سعيد بن عامر حدثنا شعبة عن قتادة
إن كان رسول الله ﷺ ليلاطفنا كثيرا حتى إنه قال لأخ لي صغير يا أبا عمير ما فعل النغير
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Bashshar is Abdi, Bundar being his nickname, and Saeed bin Amir is Dubai, and both of them are trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared at 13011.
