Dawud bin Khalid bin Dinar reported,

He and a man called Abu Yusuf from the tribe of Bani Taym passed by Rabia bin Abu Abdul-Rahman .Abu Yusuf said to him, "We find with others narrations that we do not find with you."He replied, "I do indeed have many narrations, but Rabia bin Hadeer," who used to keep close company with Talha bin Ubaydullah, "said that he never heard Talha narrate a single hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except for one hadith."Rabia bin Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "I asked him, 'What is it?'"He said, "Talha told me, 'We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until we came in sight of the lava plain of Waqim. As we drew near it, we saw graves at a bend in the path. We said, "Messenger of Allah, are these the graves of our brothers?" He said, "The graves of our companions." Then we continued on until we came to the graves of the martyrs, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "These are the graves of our brothers."'"

أنه مر هو ورجل يقال له أبو يوسف من بني تيم على ربيعة بن أبي عبد الرحمن رضي الله عنه قال قال له أبو يوسف إنا لنجد عند غيرك من الحديث ما لا نجده عندك فقال أما إن عندي حديثا كثيرا ولكن ربيعة بن الهدير قال وكان يلزم طلحة بن عبيد الله إنه لم يسمع طلحة يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ حديثا قط غير حديث واحد قال ربيعة بن أبي عبد الرحمن قلت له وما هو قال قال لي طلحة خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ حتى أشرفنا على حرة واقم قال فدنونا منها فإذا قبور بمحنية فقلنا يا رسول الله قبور إخواننا هذه قال قبور أصحابنا ثم خرجنا حتى إذا جئنا قبور الشهداء قال قال رسول الله ﷺ هذه قبور إخواننا
