Anas bin Malik reported,

The people said, "Messenger of Allah, our wealth is destroyed and we are stricken by drought. Messenger of Allah, pray for rain for us." So he stood up on Friday while on the pulpit and prayed for rain.Hammad described it, stretching out his hands at the level of his chest with his palms facing the ground, and there was not a single cloud in the sky. He had not yet finished before even the strong young man was worried about how he would return to his family. We were rained upon until the following Friday. Then they said, "Messenger of Allah, the buildings have collapsed and the travelers have been cut off. Pray to Allah to lift it from us." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed and said, "O Allah, around us and not upon us." The clouds parted until Madinah appeared as though encircled by a crown.
