On the day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, everything in it was illuminated, and on the day he died, everything in it was darkened. He said, "We had not yet finished dusting our hands from burying the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we found our hearts had changed."

لما كان اليوم الذي قدم فيه رسول الله ﷺ المدينة أضاء منها كل شيء فلما كان اليوم الذي مات فيه أظلم منها كل شيء وقال ما نفضنا عن رسول الله ﷺ الأيدي حتى أنكرنا قلوبنا
