The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set a limit for us of forty days regarding trimming the moustache, clipping the nails, and shaving the pubic hair.
حدثنا محمد بن يزيد حدثنا صدقة صاحب الدقيق عن أبي عمران الجوني
وقت لنا رسول الله ﷺ في قص الشارب وتقليم الأظفار وحلق العانة أربعين يوما
Its isnad is sahih. Sadaqah, the flour merchant, is Ibn Musa, whom they deemed trustworthy. Abu Imran Jawni erred often, and he is Abdul-Malik bin Habib. The hadith has already appeared at 13044.
