Its chain is daif because of a break in transmission. Muhammad bin Kaab Qurazi was a trustworthy successor, a righteous man knowledgeable in the Quran. However, he did not meet Ali except as a young boy, for he died in the year 108 at the age of 78. That is why Bukhari said in Kabir 11/12/216, "A man of Madinah who heard from Ibn Abbas and Zayd bin Arqam," as if indicating that he did not hear from anyone earlier than these two.
