Qatada reported,

We used to visit Anas while his baker stood ready. One day he said, "Eat. By Allah, I do not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ever saw a thin loaf of bread or a roasted whole sheep until he met his Lord ."

كنا نأتي أنسا وخبازه قائم قال فقال يوما كلوا فوالله ما أعلم رسول الله ﷺ رأى رغيفا رقيقا ولا شاة سميطا حتى لحق بربه عز وجل
